Closer look

After the bud is over 15 cm it is time to model it with iron wire.

When wiring the bud we need to leave extra 7 cm on the top in order to let the bud grow.

Warning: the wire must be in the deepest part of the clipper in order to protect the bud, and if the clipper is too small please change another one so it won't crush the bud.

When the bud knot start to grow close to each other that means the orchid is starting to grow flower bud.

Please stop the modeling the orchid bud with wire. (the flower bud will start to bend by itself)

Warning: the light source may affect the way the flower bud bend.

After 4-5 days the flower bud will slowly grow out from the knot.

Warning: some bud may grow another branch from the knot it is your personally choice to break it or not, because the breaking of branches may concentrate the nutrients to the main branch causing the flower to grow bigger, while the more the branches the more flower you will get but the less pretty the flower will be by the separation of nutrients.

How to redress orchid

How to do: 1. Find an iron wire

                  2. Bend it a half

                  3. Insert the iron wire through the media with the crooked orchid

                  4. Remember to regulate the iron wire through the media

How to disinfect virus in orchid media

                               

How to do: 1. Take the media out from the orchid pot.
                  2. Tear the media until it fall apart.
                  3. Spread the scatter media on a mesh board. ( or other flat container )
                  4. Put the mesh board with the media under sunlight.
                  5. Remember to turn the media everyday.

Inflection: This will kill the virus in the media, so this media can be use for another healthy orchid.

Stop!! This Orchid is not died yet!!

Common people may think that after the leaves and stems of the orchid started to fall off and shrink, they certainly will pick it up and throw them away in the garbage can, but wait that orchid is not died yet!!


The orchid below is where I found it in the trash can in my grandpa's house that he committed it is died.

Even though the leaves and stem of the orchid are fall off and shrink, it doesn't mean that the whole plant is died, because this is just a process that the plant sacrifice part of its body that is unwanted and turn it in to nutrients for growing new buds.
